I am 4 months pregnant, how often can I do Yoga and how long should each session of Yoga be ?
@doctorcathy thank you very much, i will check it on Tuesday. Tell me please if you did this exercise during all your pregnancy.
@haiduculc I’ve got anothe rabdominal video, but it may be a little too difficult at this point in your pregnancy. Check back, hopefully I’ll have it up by Tuesday.
@TheyCallMeMommy2010 Great – thank you. It’s wonderful to know I’m helping you acheive your health goals. Eat right, exercise, drink tons of water and get plenty of sleep. Your baby is counting on you!
Doctor Cathy, i`m 21 weeks pregnant and i`ve been doing exercises following your videos for 5 weeks now but my belly is pretty big now and i cannot do the ` advanced core`exercises for example any more, as my belly looks like an egg when i do them. Do you happen to have any other videos to post???
Thank you very much
I love love your videos!! They are perfect workouts for my pregnancy. I started doing them today and im only going to do your videos for now on! I think just seeing how tone and great you look is the perfect motivation as well!! Thanks so much Cathy!!
@mccullumking keep stretching and doing yogaas long as you can. yes, you can help your body through labor & delivery if you are stronger, more flexible and overall healthier.
Thanks doctorcathy am glad i fought your video. Am due April second or later didn’t due much work. I did a little during 2nd trimester, and hope your video can still help with a easy childbirth; this is my 4 child. should continue with you yoga workout?
man, I am glad I found these videos! I have done the warm up and the yoga so far and have already seen a difference in my energy. I had a rough frist trimester, but am now ready to start working out again. Thanks for the videos, Dr. Cathy!
Do you have any DVD’s for the Pregnancy workouts and pregnancy yoga that you provide here on YouTube? This would be perfect for my wife. Thanks.
Thank you, Annie. Glad to have you here with me. I’m just a few weeks ahead of you with my second pregnancy. Keep up the good work, it’s so important for you and for your baby. Tell your friends about my videos and keep me posted on your progress.
Hi Doctor Cathy.
I’ve been doing your exercises for about a week, I’ve to say your videos are helping me a lot, both physically and emotionally. I’m 26 weeks pregnant to my first baby boy. Thank you.
Sherrie, Glad to have you here with me working out. Keep it up and you should have a great pregnancy! Tell your friends about my videos and keep me posted.
hi Doctor Cathy,
I have really been enjoying your videos. I’m now 24 weeks and started with you last week. I wasn’t able to exercise up until this point due to severe morning sickness. During pregnancy even without sickness you can feel yucky. You have helped me to feel better after your work outs and yoga! Thanks so much!
Yes – that video was shot when I was around 22 weeks pregnant and everything in it is safe to continue throughout your entire pregnancy.
Trish, you are so welcome – glad that you’re here with me. I’m midway through my 2nd pregnancy and loving it; hope you are, too.
Not sure if my last comment went through (seemed to freeze up). Just a quick question: At the end of this vid, when you say “Join us back for a nice stretch”, do you mean the stretch video that’s featured on your main page? That’s okay for pregnancy? I’m 18 weeks and counting…
And thanks so much for these videos! I’m making them a part of my daily routine now.
castor oil did help to induce my labor but my body was 3cm dialated and about 80% effaced- I was ready anyway. I don’t recommend this natural induction method. It can have complications but for for me, It created VERY strong contractions and a fast labor, though it got the job done I would now prefere to let things progress slowly and naturally. Labor was much harder to deal with having done this myself.
I really appreciate these videos and plan to use them for the rest of my pregnancy I am 20 weeks with my third baby and I feel great about doing these! I really needed some direction and these are great
Thanks so much!!
Trish
Wow, where did you read that? It’s imperative that you exercise during the first few weeks so that you can safely continue throughout your pregnancy. Most women don’t even know they are pregnant until at least 6-8 weeks, and if they’ve been exercising all along, they can easily continue. Remember, pregnancy is not a disease or some bizarre condition, it is a normal stage of life. Keeping yourself healthy is the most important thing you can do for your developing baby. So, YES – follow along!
Hi Doctor Cathy!
I’m in week 6 now and I’ve read that it is not good to do exercises in the first trimester..Can I practice yoga anyway or is it too intensive?
Wow – what an experience you’ve had. Glad I could help make it a little better; that’s exactly why I do these videos. Thanks for sharing your story – keep me posted on your delivery. Hopefully that will go smoothly.
@doctorcathy
I’m now 37 weeks pregnant and ever since this video my pregnancy has been relatively smooth. No more hospital visits, next to no back pain, baby is in a perfect position for labor and I’ve had to do all this while losing my job, raising a 5 year old step-daughter then full time in university, early loss of a family member (one of our cats). Even through all these stressful events, I believe your exercises ave kept me sane and brought me a much healthier pregnancy. Thank you.
