hi, thanks for this very helpful video. I just started breeding AKC newfoundlands at home, and am trying to soak up as much info as possible. I have been reading So much info, but it is wonderful to have a video. our family dog is due on july 7 2010 (4 weeks from now) and the signs have been sporadic, so im so happy to know what to look for.

my aunt’s dog is an apple head chihuahua and she’s very fat at her belly. im not sure if she has every had interaction with other dogs, but she lays down on ur lap alot but she’s been like that. how long is she going to be “pregnant” if she it?
we dont know if our dog is pregnet cuz she went and played with a (boy)dog during heat (the begining) but she is have those signs is she pregnet?her belly is a little big not to much but the downfall on it is we dident keep track how far she would be

@lala32290 So maybe you can give it a go ‘IF’ really pregant, but u wouldnt know what is the breed of father’s. and that will lead to many problems for the puppies such as diseases(internal worms, fleas & ticks), heart attack ..etc. Like my dog, I didnt saw her mating, but I knew what is the father and what is the prior health problem that breed of dog will have, so when the puppies are born, I can prevent those problems. @lala32290 And when bitches are in heat, the dogs can come to females from far away. So did u have any dogs that wondering around or when u take ur dog to the park and there was a undesex dog? But either way, when bitches are pregant, they tend to stay more clamer and quieter. so any of this things happen to u? But don’t worry about it, if it does have puppies, look at them and to see if they are cute. Like my dog, she mated with a Collie Rough and the babies come out very pretty.
@lala32290 So, how long has it been? I mean like since u think it is pregrant & start producing milk. how old is she and what is the breed? It is really hard to tell if dogs is in chunky size!
If she is young, and recently just got her’s really first cycle . (like for her age) dogs have 2 cycles/yr, and if the bitch is in heat, the valva will bleed, and she will be constantly licking? so did she had these kinds of actions?
@tez1204 hey i wanted to ask u since ur a student to be a vet..i think my dog is pregant but im not sure and i cant afford to take her to the vet..shes producing milk and shes a bit chunky but shes always been like that. shes never produced milk before so im not sure if this is a false alarm but any ways wht do i do?

@Sarabazzar She wasnt pregnant….her uterus was filled with puss and looked like she was pregnant and acted like it too…she almost died….
@colorjump i have a cocker spainel too but if you want very good pupies you should get a athour cocker so they can be togother
Well my dog all was needs to be with some one but the last part about the belly…I think my dog is pregnant….FUCK!!! My dog is a cockerspanel (dont know how to spell it) and I”m preety sure shes pregnant and got pregnanted by my grandmoms little chiaua….fucking rat fuck

@ChickenNugget3467 or if it happened on the 1st heat that she is happened, then dont let it go for the 2nd heat and wait another 6mths to the next heat for it to mate! (that’s my thinking)! I am a student study to be a vet!

@ChickenNugget3467 I had my dog get pregnancy on the 1st heat but that is when accident when i bought her to my friend’s place and she had the male undesxed dog and we look at it! but I think it is good wait for the second heat cos when the 1st heat come, it is about the age of 6 mths and it is not so good for the mental, emotional & physical for the bitch!

If your dog has already had her period then she will be able to have puppies, even at 8 months.
