If your dog has already had her period then she will be able to have puppies, even at 8 months.

i have a question? is it a better time to breed a female on the first time she is in heat? or the second? everybody keeps telling me to wait untill the second but i don’t know… i never had to deal with a dog in heat before and now i do and i plan to breed her

@ChickenNugget3467 I had my dog get pregnancy on the 1st heat but that is when accident when i bought her to my friend’s place and she had the male undesxed dog and we look at it! but I think it is good wait for the second heat cos when the 1st heat come, it is about the age of 6 mths and it is not so good for the mental, emotional & physical for the bitch!

@ChickenNugget3467 or if it happened on the 1st heat that she is happened, then dont let it go for the 2nd heat and wait another 6mths to the next heat for it to mate! (that’s my thinking)! I am a student study to be a vet!
