Product Description
Alimentary Detoxification Maximum Activity Maximum Purity Great Plains Bentonite Detox provides strong detoxification in the digestive tract, with the ability to bind herbicides, viruses and other potentially harmful substances by adsorbent action. Great Plains Bentonite is specially formulated to provide the maximum benefits of bentonite. Bentonite’s mechanism of action is physical, due to its colloidal structure and charged particles, which allow it to bind with toxins in the stomach, small intestine and colon. It is not digested, nor is it absorbed into the bloodstream. Since toxins are bound to the bentonite, they are excreted from the body when the bentonite is eliminated through bowel movements.* Bentonite (also known as montmorillonite) is a natural clay mineral of volcanic origin, created from volcanic ash deposits that are millions of years old. Some of the largest and highest quality deposits of bentonite occur in the Great Plains area of the United States. Bentonite is made of microscopic rectangular clay platelets, that when properly hydrated in water form a porous “house of cards” structure with an enormous surface area. Great Plains Bentonite Detox has maximum activity through special selection and processing to ensure an enhanced surface area and optimum adsorption. Studies have shown that maximum binding and removal of toxins occurs only with the rare naturally occurring sodium ion form of bentonite containing a specific range of exchangeable sodium ions. Using advanced processing methods, the special bentonite used in Great Plains has a huge surface area up to 960 square yards per tablespoon serving. To put that in perspective, a quart bottle of Great Plains Bentonite Detox contains over 12 football fields of surface area! Great Plains Bentonite Detox has maximum purity. There are many different grades of bentonite, primarily designed for industrial uses. Yerba Prima uses only USP/NF pharmaceutical grade bentonite that has been through a natural f

  1. It’s an amazing product. I was taking the Bentonite Clay with Psyllium Husks in a shake form for about a month. It’s a great way to cleanse your system not only from toxins but aslo from heavy metals such as mercury. Eating certain types of fish regularly and also silver/amalgam dental filings can contribute a lot to the mercury level in your body. I am ordering it again pretty soon – just for the maintenance.

  2. This clay is MIRACULOUS! I also have powder that i mix up for externally….but for internal – I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!! When mixing your own it is grainy like sand — This is super smooth – like a Maalox texture but virtually FLAVORLESS!!!! Goes down smooth and the benefits of BENTONITE CLAY is unlimited!!! I recommend this product for anyone who just wants to improve their quality of life and well being

I found this product at Super Supplements, a vitamin franchise.

I went looking for it after reading a great, detailed explanation of bentonite clay and how it differs from other volcanic ash (clay) in a book by Perry A. called “Living Clay”

The manager at the store described the taste like a really clean river. For me it’s as easy as drinking water. Completely neutral.

    Nothing offensive.

I have gotten older and I’m starting to develop age related issues

and so I’m hoping that the clay will cleanse my system and help me feel better in general. I’ve tried alot of things to try to detox, including colon cleansing, and changing many habits.

I believe it’s a cumulative effort of trying to avoid ingesting poisons or non nutritive foods, and taking supplements to counteract the damage that has been done. Because I didn’t really take very conscientious care of myself when I was younger and felt fine.

Perry A. explained it well when she wrote:” The process by which substances are absorbed or adsorbed is through their electrical ionic charge. If you remember when you were young and played w/ horseshoe magnets, when the like poles are placed together they repel each other. When you placed opposite poles together – negative to positive-they actually pulled toward each other and stuck together.

The ionic charge of pure, natural calcium Bentonite Clay is negative. This unique clay adsorbs and absorbs positive charged ions in a similar fashion. Most everything that attacks our bodies-bacteria,virals,fungi,diseases,toxic chemicals,etc.,-is of a positive ionic charge…when we apply or consume clay…its only function is to draw to itself positive charged molecules, which it holds like a magnet…Calcium Bentonite Clay literally removes positively charged molecules that attack our bodies…”

I have only begun taking this product, but I am hopeful that it may prove very useful in detoxing, avoiding cancer, internal regulation,

and maybe avoiding the common cold .

I really don’t know how to describe the flavor of this stuff. As directed, pour about 2 teaspoons into a drink. Whatever I have tried to put it in, it makes the beverage taste creamy.

Anyhow, it works! I use it if I am out too late during the weekend. After a few doses, I’m back on my feet.

    Enjoy

As far as taste, I think it is very mild – hardly noticeable in a full glass of water. I haven’t tasted river water, but I could imagine this tasting like “clean river water”. I do not know if it really works, I have tried it with psyllium husk. It certainly hasn’t hurt though, and I would like to continue use to see if it helps cleanse my system (which shows evidence of “pollution” by facial acne). I’m trying it on my face but it is a bit too liquid and I think I would do better with a dry clay and mix it with liquid myself.
