Is it bad to take allergy medicine when you aren’t having allergies?

Question by bb: Is it bad to take allergy medicine when you aren’t having allergies?
I have trouble sleeping at night. I found some Benadryl allergy pills, and I am hoping they might make me more sleepy. Is it OK for me to take a couple pills to help me sleep even though I am not experiencing any allergies at the moment? Thx!

Benadryl is commonly used for sleep problems, and it is not addictive, so it is safe for long term use.

Benadryl is also suggested as a remedy to take when a passenger on an airplane to help reduce anxiety. You should be fine, but the only disadvantage you might have is that Benadryl dries out the sinuses and could dehydreate you a bit – make sure you drink lots of fluids the next day.

You should use clarinex, it is the best about it you can get information from here http://mdans14.notlong.com/1AA7XIy

Yeah it will be fine. There’s a small chance it will make you groggy the next day but the dose isn’t high enough for a long term effect, you’ll probably sleep it off which is what you’re wanting :) You’ll be fine.
