How should I deal with a blood blister?

Question: How should I deal with a blood blister?
I happen to have two blood blisters, one on the right big toe and another on the left big toe. I have a parade that I have to march later today; how should I deal with the blood blister? Or should I even be marching in the parade?

Answer by Jeffrey H
Wash the area and let it dry. Lance the blister with a sterile needle and let it drain. Apply a disinfectant like alcohol or peroxide, let it dry, and apply a bandage and Neosporin if possible.

If the blister is from marching, it might be tough going. If it’s clean and bandaged you’ll be ok. Put your shoes on and see if it hurts… The pain is what is going to be the deciding factor, that is, if you can put up with it long enough to march. Keep your shoes off as much as possible after marching and let your feet breathe.

What is the proper way to pop a blood blister?

blister
by jodigreen

Question: What is the proper way to pop a blood blister?
This morning I stepped on something sharp and got a blood blister almost immediately after. I saw the nurse and she said it is under the skin of my foot, so I need to wait a few days for it to come closer to the surface of my foot for me to pop it. Is there a certain way I should do this? Also what can make it easier? I don’t want it to hurt or get an infection.

Answer by dude
There is a small possibility of infection. That can be pretty serious. But it is only a small possibility.
I usually leave mine alone. They do work themselves out of the skin on their own.

by politikill

Question: What is causing my gum to be swollen?
Every so often, I would say every 3 or 4 months, the gum tissue in the back corner behind my molar (where my wisdom tooth would have grown in) gets all swollen and inflamed. It will last for a few days and then just goes away so I never go to the dentist.

It’s flared up right now and driving me crazy. Does anyone know why this is or if there Is there anything I can do to make it hurt less?

Answer by Hope
gargle with warm water and salt 2 or 3 times a day will help the gum heal.
Not sure what the cause is,probably a tooth going bad

Any Suggestions for getting rid of a kidney stone?

Question: Any Suggestions for getting rid of a kidney stone?
My Husband has had a 6mm Kidney stone for 2 weeks and he has not passed it yet. Does anyone have any ideas for getting rid of a kidney stone, or breaking it up so it will come out easier. I just feel so bad for him every other day he is in terrible pain.

Answer by Mr Hex Vision
The only thing I can suggest is if your waiting for it to pass out naturally is drink more liquid, water. The more often he has to go pee the more change it has of passing.

They say cranberry juice is good at stopping kidney stones forming, but that could be an old wife’s tale. The best bet is you phone your local doctor about it.
