Question: Which career would have more humanitarian value: naturopathic doctor or a counselor?
I am most consered for the overall well being of others. In the past I have been more inclined to the healing of the mind, but now I am equally considering both.
The mind needs the body.
The body needs the mind.
Which one needs more attention?
Thnak you very much for your time and consideration!
Question: I noticed this brownish marks on my teeth, is this tooth decay?
So, about 2 weeks ago I noticed this brown stain between one of my bottom front teeth and another brown line ( not very dark) sort of tracing the tooth next to it, its not along the gum line. I also noticed this was happening in the back of my front teeth and bottom. I visited the dentist few months back and I know I did not have this. I brush my teeth twice a day, use Listerine, and I don’t floss because I wear a permanent retainer so its very difficult to do that. These stains aren’t going away! I pointed it out to my mom but she couldn’t see them clearly and simply said it was semen from my braces. I’m scared that this is tooth decay. Should I just wait this out? Or should I go see the dentist ASAP?
Answer by Keni 86 Yes , this is tooth decay .
You should go and get this checked out .
I wear a permanent retainer && I went to the dentist the other day && I have the same problem .
They said that I can just watch it and brush really good; and maybe it would go away .. Or I can just get it filled so that it doesn’t get worse. The decision is totally up to you though .
Question: I just had an upper GI endoscopy and I woke up with a lump (swollen lymphs maybe) under my chin-anyone know?
I woke up with a lump under my chin and I think it’s just swollen lymph nodes, maybe my Dr. put too much pressure on my chin when lifting it. Has anyone heard of this happening to anyone you know or yourself? It’s sore and swollen. I ‘m almost positive it’s from the procedure, and I just want to know if it’s normal or if it’s happened before. It must be from the procedure since I woke up with it the next day right?
Answer by Txlady Talk to the doc and their staff that did the endoscopy. They need to know and should be able to guide you from there.
Exploring the working day of a DTC, which can start without warning at anytime in the 24hr day, given the fact that the deaths of those suitable for organ donation tend to be unexpected, is then followed by a highly emotional first half to the day where upon respectful, non pressurised counselling and consultation with the shocked and bereaved family is then followed with a time sensitive schedule to source one or several desperate recipients, who often only have hours to live themselves.
Question: How do you treat a burn blister on a child?
My son burned his arm on his nightlight and now has a blister that is about the size of two dimes side by side. How do I treat this burn/blister? Should I take him to the doctor for antibiotics or can this be treated at home. He is not complaining of any pain and didnt even cry when it happened.
Answer by Eli Even though the area sounds small if it has blistered it is a second degree burn so I would be inclined take him to the doctor and let them take a look at it. You don’t mention his age but if he is under 5 years then I would definitely do this as young children’s skin is very delicate. He is unlikely to need antibiotics unless there is infection, but they can put the most appropriate dressing on which will protect the blisters and help keep infection out. The doctor may also give him a specialist ointment with silver in it which aids healing – I got that when I had burn blisters and it helped.
A couple of ‘Don’ts’ – Don’t burst the blisters as they are keeping infection out. Don’t put anything (butter, ointments etc) other than prescribed on the burn as they both stop the heat escaping and create a environment where germs can develop increasing the risk of infection.
The most surprising thing to me is that he didn’t appear to feel pain – I had a scald which blistered and it was very painful particularly at first. So I would definitely mention that point to the doctor, not to worry you – but just in case he has impaired sensitivity. Of course he could just be being brave, you don’t mention his age so I don’t know whether that is probable or not.
Question: What could have caused this reddish blister on my baby’s hand that has tiny bubbles inside it?
I noticed a welt/blister developed on my baby’s left hand two days ago. Originally I thought it was a mosquito bite but it has not yet disappeared. And tiny bubbles or bumps began to form inside this blister. Is it viral? Is it an insect bite? Should I go to the dermatologist or allergist?
Answer by Crystal H Try using some hydrocortisone on it and put a band-aid over it so the baby doesn’t get any in it’s mouth. It should take the redness and irritation down a few notches. If it doesn’t go away after a few more days. Go to the dermatologist.

Question: I was diagnosed with Gall Stones & Kidney Stones. Are there any holistic ways to help combat these?
I already know about a low fat diet, low dairy, etc, exercise and such. I’m waiting to see my doctor after a stint at the E.R. with these lovely stones. Anyone out there know of any natural or holistic remedies for these problems? A flush/cleanse, supplement, diet, herb, anything?
Thanks
Answer by Ozeki i’ve had both, the gall stones are still there but no symptoms so doc said better left alone. drinking tons of water hasn’t helped with the kidney stones but lithotripsy isn’t that bad plus you get cool pain meds.
